Got an idea for a short essay? The Southern Highlander is interested in publishing any well-written articles that shed light on the nature, history, and culture of southern Appalachia. They may be scholarly or personal essays anywhere from 500-2000 words. If you are interested in submitting an essay for publication, email a Word document to lukemanget@gmail.com.
